Palaniswamy Rajan Palaniswamy "Raj" Rajan co-founded Virima Technologies and serves as the company's Chairman & CEO. With more than 15 years experience in the technology industry, Rajan has a deep understanding of current technologies and has the ability to articulate the application of these technologies in various business contexts and models. A highly versatile and proven entrepreneur, Rajan also founded Vigilar, Inc, a leading network security technology firm; eLaunchpad, LLC, an early stage venture capital firm/incubator focusing on Internet infrastructure and network security technologies; Emerald Systems, a boutique technology consulting firm. During his tenure at Vigilar, he grew annual revenues to $32M from 2000 to 2005, during the most difficult technology industry climate. Another previous success, financial aggregator VerticalOne was sold to S1 in 1999 in a deal valued at $166 million. Rajan previously served on the Board of Directors for Vigilar, currently serves on the Board of Directors of Virima and serves on the advisory boards of several early stage technology firms around the country. A leader in the business community, he is involved in several professional and community organizations. Rajan was instrumental in establishing the Atlanta CEO High Tech Council, where he serves as the Chairman of the Board of Directors, and he co-founded and serves on the Board of Directors of the Atlanta Chapter of The Indus Entrepreneurs (TIE). Rajan was honored as Georgia Trend's "40 Under 40" Rising Stars in 2000. He holds a Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering and a Master's degree in Computer Science from the Florida Institute of Technology.
Salil KulkarniTop Salil Kulkarni was most recently the CIO at the John H. Harland Company. He has almost two decades of IT and management consulting experience. Kulkarni began his professional career at IBM as a software engineer, working both domestically and internationally. During his time with IBM, he expanded his knowledge of software development and management. From there, Kulkarni joined several technology companies in Silicon Valley and Chicago, where he managed multiple client engagements as a management and IT consultant. During his tenure at Accenture, Kulkarni was responsible for managing C-level strategy consulting engagements to companies within the communications and high-tech industry. Kulkarni was a vice president at Fifth Third Bank in Cincinnati, responsible for the B2C channel; and Equifax, where he served as chief information officer for the Personal Solutions Division. Kulkarni holds three software patents. He graduated from The Speed School of Engineering at The University of Louisville with a Bachelor of Science in Computer Engineering and holds a Master of Business from The University of Chicago with concentrations in finance, strategy and marketing.
Karun RajasekharanTop Karun Rajasekharan brings two decades of product management and development experience in U.S. and international companies to Virima Technologies, where he is responsible for Product development and management. A demonstrated leader in directing product development for enterprise software and services, he has successfully led large cross-functional teams on highly visible and strategic products. He has a strong track record of socializing new processes within companies and deep experience in Enterprise software architecture and design. Prior to joining Virima Technologies, Rajasekharan was vice president of Marketing for DicipherTech, a software as service business analytics startup, and vice president of product management, Principal at for Meru Consulting, where he counseled executives of early stage companies on product management, marketing and investments. He served as director of Engineering and director of Product Management at Internet Security Systems, where he was responsible for driving product strategy and platform visions for the company's suite of security software and appliances. Rajasekharan holds a Bachelor of Engineering, Electrical & Electronics from the Manipal Institute of Technology at Mangalore University in India.
Mark HomrichTop Mark Homrich is vice president of business development and is responsible for sales and corporate development activities. Mark has over 20 years of industry experience that includes consulting, sales, marketing, business development and executive management with large organizations as well as several start-up companies where he was responsible for growing direct and indirect revenue streams. Prior to joining Virima, he served as vice president of business development for Planview, Inc., a leading software vendor in the IT portfolio management space. At Planview, Mark's responsibilities included the development of launch programs for new products, managing a national sales support team and driving revenue from existing and new markets including the IT asset management space. Mark has developed strategic relationships with firms such as EMC, BMC, Business Objects, SRA International, Hitachi, Fujitsu and Siemens. Mark is actively involved with various business, community and philanthropic based organizations in the Atlanta area. He was graduated from the Georgia Institute of Technology with a bachelor's degree in industrial engineering.
Nandu NandakumarTop Nandu Nandakumar is the co-founder of Virima Technologies where he serves as Chief Technology Officer. Over the course of his [year] career, he has supervised over a hundred projects using multiple methodologies on a wide range of platforms, ranging from transactional systems to data warehouses to intelligent systems. His expertise in analytics, artificial intelligence (AI) and business process management (BPM), comes from building analytics engines for a variety of industries ranging from telecom, manufacturing, pharmaceutical, oil and gas, building AI systems for manufacturing, telecommunications and other industries, and designing and re-engineering processes for BPM and operations. Prior to Virima, Nandakumar was founder and CEO at Core Concept, a provider of enterprise performance management software applications for the pharmaceutical industry. He also served as COO at Calsoft Labs, a software development and testing lab, and vice president at Chemoil Corp, a marine fuel supplier, where he oversaw strategy, planning and IT. He also taught Operations Management as well as Product Design as Duke University Fuqua School. He holds a B.Tech from IIT Madras, MBA from IIM Calcutta, M.S. and PhD from Carnegie Mellon.
James DeLucciaTop James J. DeLuccia IV, an author, researcher, auditor, entrepreneur, speaker, and a recognized expert on risk management, security technology, corporate governance and compliance. His hands on experience spans domestic, international, industry mandates and practices that include PCI, SOX, HIPAA, ISO, IFRS requirements and U.S. privacy breach laws. Mr. DeLuccia manages and implements solutions through technology, expertise, teamwork, and innovation. DeLuccia recently architected the international credit security standard and regularly contributes to the PCI body of knowledge. A frequent industry speaker, he is certified as a CIA, CISA, CISM, CISSP, CPISA, CPISM, and a trained QDSP. His new book, "IT Compliance and Controls: Best Practices for Implementation," was released in 2008 by John Wiley & Sons. DeLuccia holds dual bachelor's degrees in Risk Management and Management Information Systems, and has an MBA in Finance. |
