C.N. Madhusudan

C.N. (Madhu) Madhusudan is an accomplished executive with significant experience in setting up, acquiring and operating businesses in Europe, India and the United States. His areas of expertise include Growth/Exit Strategy, Joint Ventures, M&A, New Market Entry and Cross Border Transactions.

He is the founder and CEO of VectorSpan Inc., an enterprise focused on enabling companies to plan their growth/exit strategy, engineer inorganic growth and make cross border transactions and integration successful.

As an early member of the team that built the NIIT Group in India, Mr. Madhusudan held key roles including setting up NIIT’s Bangalore operations, turning around NIIT’s Mumbai (Bombay) operations, and establishing NIIT’s HR, IS and Corporate Planning functions. In 1991, he relocated to the United States to build NIIT’s first overseas presence for its software, training and knowledge process outsourcing businesses. Under his leadership as President and Chief Operating Officer, NIIT USA became NIIT’s largest overseas operation and was nominated twice for the Atlanta International Business Award.

With the strong and diverse experience in operating businesses in India and the US, Madhu moved into the area of Strategic Investments and M&A as President of NIIT Ventures. He led several new venture investment initiatives and cross border acquisitions involving the US, Europe and India.

He is the current President of TiE Atlanta and has served as Chairman of the Board of the Georgia Indo-American Chamber of Commerce (GIACC). He is a member of the Board of ThinkSoft Global Services Ltd. and has served as a Supervisory Board member of AD Solutions AG (Germany), a member of the Board of ROOM Solutions Limited (UK) and several investments and subsidiaries of the NIIT group in the US and Asia.

He received the 2007 “Outstanding 50 Asian Americans in Business Award” for innovation, leadership and vision in business.

Mr. Madhusudan studied at the St. Joseph’s College, Bangalore, and the Indian Institute of Management, Ahmedabad. His professional education includes Business Evaluation at the Harvard Business School.
