India – Senior Software Engineer (UI Front End)

Employees in this role use customer and functional (and/or design) specifications to implement Virima Platform Application. They also ensure that the implemented components are unit tested and ready to be integrated into the product. Employees are also required to ensure usability, quality and maintainability of the components/applications developed. Employees will work closely with the Development Manager, Architect, CTO, select customers and the engineering teams to deliver product (and updates) releases in timely fashion with quality.

Responsibilities:

• 4+ years overall software development industry experience
• Proficient with 3-4 years of JavaScript and JQuery
• Experienced in Object Oriented JavaScript
• Proficient in HTML/CSS
• Proficient in AJAX
• Expert skills in user-centered interface design methods (prototyping, use cases, and interface specifications)
• Expert at SDLC and Agile development
• Knowledge in other Web technologies is preferred
• Proficient in MVC (or related frameworks)
• Excellent troubleshooting skills.
• Experience in handling multiple browser compatibility issues

Qualifications:

• Knowledge in core Java
• Experience and/or knowledge of globalization and localization programming practices
• Knowledge of coding practices regarding quality, usability and accessibility
