India – Senior Software Engineer (Systems)

Employees in this role are expected to lead and manage team to provide solutions to Virima product development. Employees are expected to be hands on and should be technically very sound. They are expected to solicit requirements from Product and Marketing groups and shall carry out all design and planning strategies and shall be responsible for delivering the product (or releases). They shall oversee the complete SDLC and adhere to all compliance and standards. Employees will work closely with the Development Manager, CTO, select customers and the engineering teams to deliver product (and updates) releases in timely fashion with quality.

Responsibilities:

• 5+ years overall software development industry experience
• Expert skills in user-centered interface design methods (prototyping, use cases, and interface specifications)
• Expert at SDLC and Agile development
• Proficient in Java and other programing languages
• Proficient in Hibernate, DBMS and Web Services
• Expert in JBPM, Reporting Tools
• Must possess ability to think logically and produce quality solutions
• Expert at using various troubleshooting tools and techniques
• Expert in modern design principles (OOD, OOA, SOA) and technologies (like UML, J2EE design patterns)
• Experienced in Java J2EE 1.4+ platform (Servlet/JSP)

Qualifications:

• Experience in database programming (architecture and design) (MySQL)
• Experience in HQL
• Knowledge of XML and JavaScript
• Knowledge in JBPM
• Experience in OLAP, reporting tools
• Experience in JBoss, Tomcat
